My name is Jessica and I started this blog simply because I love to read and wanted to share with the world my experiences of different books/ short stories/ any pieces of literature I want to talk about.
Also, a quick note on the name of the blog- A Book Can Be A Star. The name comes from a lovely quote I read by Madeleine L’engle which goes “A book, too, can be a star, a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe.” I thought that this was a beautiful metaphor to describe a good book, and a perfect name for my blog (modified slightly, of course, due to its length).
